An official spokesman said here today that according to these directions, the number of students travelling in these vehicles should not exceed the number of seats.
He said any driver found guilty of negligence and violation of the rules for three times, would lose his driving license.
He said managements of all schools and the drivers of the vehicles should get their vehicles checked from time to time and their vehicles should fulfill all the safety parameters fixed by the government.
The spokesman said the administration would maintain computerized data of all erring drivers.
He said all school vans would be of yellow colour and must have 'school van' imprinted on them. The name and the mobile number of the Director of the concerned school must also be written on the vehicles and all the drivers must have at least five years of experience.
