Fifty per cent cost of shifting such dhanies to rural domestic feeders will be borne by the state government and the rest by the consumers themselves, Power Minister Capt Ajay Singh Yadav said during the ongoing Monsoon Session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha here.

As many as 541 dhanies had already been shifted from AP feeders to rural domestic feeders. Three dhanies falling under Loharu, Dighawa, Behl and Siwani power sub stations under Loharu constituency had also opted for the scheme and deposited their share of the cost.

The shifting of power supply would be completed within two months, he added.

While replying to another question, the Power Minister said the state government had also decided to reward "honest" consumers by giving them better power supply.

The decision had been taken to ensure no power cut to independent feeders having losses upto three per cent; industrial feeders having losses upto six per cent and urban feeders having losses upto ten per cent.

97,616 consumers of 444 feeders had already benefited from the scheme, he said.
