The Haryana government has increased by more than twice the financial assistance being given to World War II veterans and their widows, Finance Minister Abhimanyu said here today.
This decision would benefit 4,060 beneficiaries in the state, he said.
The financial assistance of Rs 4,500 per month has been increased to Rs 10,000 per month, the minister said.
The financial implication on account of enhanced rate of financial assistance is estimated at over Rs 26.79 crore, he said.
