Haryana govt requests Centre to include RoB in annual plan

Haryana government has requested the Centre to include the construction of a four-lane Railway over Bridge (RoB) at Gurgaon on Delhi-Rewari-Jaipur railway line in the 2015-16 annual plan so that the work can be taken up at the earliest.

In a demi-official letter to Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has requested for his personal intervention, saying Ministry of Road Transport and Highways had already accorded approval for construction of this RoB under Central Road Fund scheme at a cost of Rs 40.25 crore.

The proposed RoB would be at level crossing number 23-A in KM 28/4 on the crossing of Palamvihar-Bajhgera road in Gurgaon district and would decongest traffic in the area, an official release said here today.
 

The Chief Minister said the work on four RoBs, which have already been included in the annual plan 2015-16, would also be undertaken at a cost of Rs 84.30 crore.

These include RoB at Adhoya Chappar road at level crossing no 109 in Ambala district, construction of two-lane RoB at Wazirpur-Farukhnagar road on Delhi-Jaipur Railway line at level crossing 34 in Gurgaon district, two-lane RoB at Jamalpur-Farrukhnagar road on Delhi Jaipur Railway line at level crossing number 39 in district Gurgaon and two-lane RoB at Gurgaon Pataudi road at level crossing number 48 in Gurgaon district.
