Haryana govt sends 11,000 tents to U'khand

The Haryana Government today sent a consignment of 11,000 tents to flood-ravaged Uttarakhand as a part of the relief supplies to help those affected by the natural calamity in the hilly state.

The tents have been sent by Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on the demand of the Uttarakhand Government and the tents would reach there by this evening, an official release said here.

The release said that according to the reports received from control room set up by Haryana Government in Chandigarh, out of the total 1,044 pilgrims from the state stranded in Uttarakhand, 385 have safely reached their homes today by this afternoon.
