The services of four women supervisors working in Women and Child Development Department were terminated for allegedly submitting fake graduation certificates here, police said today.

Haryana Government today terminated the services and also ordered to register an FIR against them in connection with the case, a spokesman of the department said.

The accused -- Sunita Devi, Babita, Santosh Devi and Indirawati -- were appointed as supervisors in the department on the recommendations of the Haryana Staff Selection Commission, Panchkula, the spokesperson said.

As per the terms and conditions mentioned in their appointment letter, their graduation certificates were sent to the Registrar, Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh to confirm their records, he said.

However, the University authorities claim that the certificates of the candidates were not found registered in their records.

"Therefore, the department has terminated their services," the spokesperson added.
