Haryana govt to add 1,000 new buses in its fleet

To provide better facilities to commuters, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today announced of adding 1000 buses in its fleet of buses.

The state government would transform roadways to ensure maximum facilities to the public, also, 1,000 new buses would be added to the fleet of State Roadways so as to further improve the transport services, he said.

As compared to other bus services in the country, the Haryana Roadways is rendering better transport service to the passengers and, he said.

The Transport Department is working on various schemes to further enhance the facilities for passengers, he said adding that workshops of State Roadways would also be improved.
 

Khattar also took ride in a roadways bus from Chandigarh to Karnal.

On his way, the chief minister visited the workshop Haryana Roadways workshop in Chandigarh where he heard grievances of bus conductors.

He also stressed the need to ensure cleanliness in the workshop.

Khattar further said that he has experience traveling in ordinary buses. He has faced the crowded DTC buses in Delhi.

The Chief Minister said that earlier also he had traveled many times in buses.

This is the first opportunity for him to travel by bus after becoming the Chief Minister, he said.

He said that he had also traveled in Metro.
