Haryana govt to conduct survey to provide affordable houses

The Haryana government has decided to conduct a survey to identify beneficiaries for providing affordable houses under 'Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna- Housing for all' programme to people living in urban areas of the state.

A decision in this regard was taken at a meeting of the Urban Local Bodies department held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar here today, an official spokesman said.

It was also decided that those who are living in urban areas and were residents of the state as on June 17, 2015, would be eligible to participate in the survey.

Those belonging to economically weaker sections, low income group and medium income group living in urban areas would be eligible for credit linked subsidy and affordable houses in the state, he said.
 

The applicant should have Aadhar card and a bank account, is one of the conditions. The applicant or his family members should not have any pucca house in any other locality, is another.

Applicants who has not been benefitted under any central or state housing scheme would be eligible to avail the benefits under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna, he said.
