Haryana govt to hold 3-day Agri Leadership Summit in Gurgaon

Haryana Government today said it will organise a three-day Agri Leadership Summit, starting tomorrow, in Gurgaon.

About 50,000 farmers from different states and other stakeholders associated with the agriculture sector would participate in the summit.

While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that information about various advancements in agriculture sector would be provided in the summit.

A number of countries like Holland and Israel have been contacted for participation. Agriculture scientists and farmers from these countries would share their experiences and innovations at the summit, he said.

Progress farmers across the country have also been invited to participate in the summit.
 

Giving details of the programmes, he said that a seminar on agriculture and horticulture and an exhibition would be organised on the first day of summit.

On the second day, a meeting of stakeholders associated with agriculture would be convened and an exhibition on the topics of post harvesting management marketing, processing, micro financing and sustainable agriculture would be organised.

Similarly, exhibition on dairying and fisheries would also be organised on concluding day of summit, he said.

He added that farmer pavilion, seminar, farmers' conference, workshop, exhibitions, organic farming and cultural events would be centre of attraction in the summit.

An exhibition of livestock would also be displayed. Catering and lodging facilities would be provided to farmers, he added.
