Haryana govt to launch health scheme

To provide essential health care services free of cost in its health institutions from primary to tertiary level, the Haryana government will launch a project from January 1, 2014.

'Mukhyamantri Muft Ilaaj Yojana' would cover surgery, drugs, investigations or diagnostic services, ambulance or referral transport services, indoor services and dental treatment, an official spokesman said here today.

The scheme worth Rs 261.1 crore would be launched from January 1, next year, he said.

It would benefit two crore persons visiting various government hospitals in the state and about one lakh surgeries patients, the spokesman said.
