Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today asked district officials to explore the possibility of establishing a new college at Morni village in Panchkula district.

In a meeting with government officers, Khattar pitched for facilitating the meritorious students hailing from the lone hill station in the state, an official spokesman said.

The chief minister directed officials of the Haryana Urban Development Authority in Panchkula to hold an 'Open Darbar' to redress the grievances of people.

While reviewing the work of the forest department, he asked the officers concerned to prepare a comprehensive report about the water holding capacity of 170 small dams.

Khattar also reviewed the progress of different development works in Kalka and Panchkula Assembly constituencies and instructed the officers to accelerate the pace of implementation.

It was informed at the meeting that out of total 1271 grievances received in the CM window, 1088 have already been redressed.
