Plantation of a variety of trees will be carried out on both sides of state highways with consent of farmers of that area, Haryana Forest and Environment minister Ajay Singh Yadav today said.
Yadav was addressing a gathering at 64th state-level Van Mahotsav organised by Forest Department at Anaj Mandi in Peepli.
The Department would look after the trees for three years and thereafter they would be handed over to farmers, he said adding, "All income generated through this plantation would be go to the farmers."

With a view to save vultures, a conservation and breeding centre has been set up in Pinjore and a Conservation and Breeding Centre has also been set up in Jhabua reserve forest in Rewari district to protect peacocks and blackbucks, he added.
