Recognising employment potential of micro, small and medium enterprises, which constitute backbone of the manufacturing sector, Haryana government has decided to set up 15 clusters with Common Facility Centres (CFCs) in public-private partnership mode.
The sites for setting up the clusters have been identified and diagnostic study reports have been prepared for eight of them and submitted to the central government for approval, an official spokesman said here today.
He said the central government has accorded approval for setting up CFCs at three clusters, proposed to be set up in Bahadurgarh, Panipat and Karnal. Four additional CFCs are expected to be approved before the end of the current month.
The clusters will provide institutional support mechanism for facilitating growth and competitiveness of the MSME sector and address their common needs, the spokesman said.
The initiative is aimed at strengthening collective action to provide spillover effects of the economies of scale, credit facilitation, technology upgradation, brand building and marketing, he said.
