These institutes will be set up under Public Private Partnership mode as a part of the ambitious "Kaushal Vikas Yojna", a scheme of the Union Government, an official release said.
The release said that presently training in 71 different trades was being provided through a network of 225 ITIs with a total seating capacity of 53,584 in the state.
The number of ITIs and their seating capacity had been significantly increased during last eight years.
In 2004-05, 78 ITIs were functional in the government sector with a capacity of 15,188 and their number was increased to 131 with seating capacity of 39,168 in 2012-13.
To make the training relevant and accountable to users, 65 ITIs have been adopted by 29 Industries for upgradation through Public-Private Partnership.
Besides, 68 ITIs are being upgraded under various projects for modernisation of equipment, civil works and training of trainers, the release said.
Under Skill Development Initiative Scheme based on Modular Employable Skills, 67 Vocational Training Providers have been registered and 23,328 candidates trained under this scheme.
