Haryana govt to set up training hall for yoga

Haryana Government will set up a conference and training hall for yoga and naturopathy in Institute of Indian System of Medicine and Research (IISMR)at Panchkula near here, state Health Minister Anil Vij said today.

There is also a proposal to set up a yoga and naturopathy hospital at Panchkula, he said in an official statement.

Vij said that the state government is committed to provide better healthcare facilities to every person.

"For providing complete healthcare benefits under National Health Mission, appointment of yoga specialists in all district hospitals is being considered, who would provide training to people," he added.

Stating that yoga was beneficial for physical, mental and spiritual health, the Minister said, "Yoga enables one to spiritually energise himself and its results can be seen on those who practice it."
 

The Minister stated that the Haryana government has decided to include yoga in its medical system, which would help in development of yoga and naturopathy.
