Scores of guest teachers in Haryana today took out a protest march against the Manohar Lal Khattar government here, demanding regularisation of their jobs.
The irate teachers raised slogans against Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Haryana Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma and burnt their effigies at Agarsen Chowk here.
They accused the state government for not "fulfilling the promises" of job regularisation made during Assembly elections.

Addressing the protesting teachers, district president of Guest Teachers Association (GTA) Shashi Bhushan said the government should regularise the services of 16,000 guest teachers as per its "commitment".
He said if the government did not accept their demand, they would be forced to take "tough course of action".
The agitating teachers also condemned the police for allegedly resorting to cane charge on agitating teachers yesterday in Karnal.
