Union Minister Birender Singh hailed the BJP-led state government for establishing a "transparent and honest" government in Haryana for the first time.
"For the first time in Haryana, a transparent and honest government has been established. The works of Namo (Prime Minister Narendra Modi) and Mano (Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar) promise of a new political chapter in the country," Singh said during a press conference at Uchana here yesterday.
"BJP had never attempted to fight the elections alone in the state before, thus hindering its survival in the region. But the party took a brave step by deciding to contest the polls without entering into any alliance in the recent assembly elections. Thus the people voted the party to power with full majority,"

"Around 70 per cent of Indians live in villages. Steps will be taken to provide the facilities available in the cities to the villagers as well," he said.
