While stating this here today, an official spokesman said the main components of the scheme included technology upgradation, establishment, modernisation and expansion of food processing industries and cold chain, value addition and preservation infrastructure for non-horticultural procedure.
The scheme has been seen as an effort from the Centre to prevent widespread wastages and losses of horticulture crops.
