"While considering Punjab as its elder brother, Haryana has always been cooperating with it in its development works. Punjab should also reciprocate in the same manner," said the Minister for Public Works and Industries.
Surjewala was replying to questions on the toe wall constructed by Haryana to prevent floods in Guhla area of the district.
He said that "we the residents of Haryana never wanted to harm the farmers of Punjab as the state is like our elder brother."
Surjewala alleged that INLD has always misguided the people on the issue of Ghaggar river toe wall and the Badal Government of Punjab has registered various cases against the people of this area.
