Haryana government is negotiating with Argentina and Brazil to construct godowns in rural areas for storage of food grains and an agreement in this regard is likely to be signed soon.
"An agreement in this regard is likely to be signed soon," said minister of state for agriculture Sukhbir Kataria in Sirsa, according to an official release.
The godowns will be constructed for safe storage of food grains without any impact of adverse climatic conditions like very low or very high temperatures and humidity, he said.

During the current season, about 60 lakh metric tonnes of wheat has reached the state's grain markets and adequate arrangements have been made for its storage, he added.
