R S Dalal, Director General of Police, Haryana today said till now this system is working only in Commissionerate of Police, Faridabad.
The remaining districts of Haryana are also going to adopt this technology very soon, he said.
Dalal said an e-challan is an electronic format of the challan which gives a receipt for payment or delivery.
Now, traffic challans will be generated on the spot electronically through a hand held computer instantly instead of manually filling up the challan form, he informed.
Under this system, previous records of traffic violation by the driver also gets checked whether one has been a habitual offender, he said.
