Haryana police nab two arms suppliers

Haryana Police Friday arrested two alleged arms suppliers hailing from Uttar Pradesh and seized nine illegal arms from them.

They were arrested from Patiala Chowk in Jind following a tip-off, a spokesman of State Police Department said here.

The accused have been identified as Gurjeet Singh, resident of village Alamgirpur, district Meerut and Munender alias Rinku, resident of Akhapur, district Mukteshwar in Uttar Pradesh.

"During interrogation, accused disclosed that they had been supplying illegal arms in Jind area for a long time," the spokesman said.

Upon search, police team found five pistols from Gurjeet whereas four pistols were recovered from Munender, he said.
