Haryana provided free medical treatment to 2.8 lakh children

Haryana has provided free medical treatment to over 2.8 lakh children at government health facilities under the Indira Bal Swashthya Yojna (IBSY).

Launched by the state government in 2010, The IBSY scheme covered children of government schools and Anganwadi centres, an official spokesperson said here today.

He said the scheme was formulated to cater to the overall health needs of children up to the age of 18.

Health check-up of kids studying in government schools and Anganwadis was conducted to diagnose various deficiencies, diseases and disability, the official said.
