Haryana raises remuneration of guest teachers

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today announced that the remuneration of teachers working as guest faculty has been enhanced with effect from January 1, 2014.

In an official release issued here, Hooda said now lecturers will get Rs 23,500 per month instead of Rs 19,440.

Masters and language teachers (Hindi/Punjabi and Sanskrit) will get Rs 19,000 per month instead of Rs 15,840, and junior basic training (JBT) and drawing teachers would be paid Rs 17,500 per month instead of Rs 14,400.

He said it has also been decided that the posts on which the guest faculty teachers are working will not be treated as vacant. Therefore, the guest faculty members will not be shifted from his or her work station, and if in case of promotion or appointment or transfer of a regular teacher a guest faculty is dislocated, his or her order of adjustment would be issued simultaneously or immediately thereof.
