Haryana receives Krishi Karman Award for 2nd consecutive year

The award carries a cash prize of Rs one crore along with a trophy and citation.

The award was given for the highest wheat production of 130.69 lakh tons with productivity of 5182 kg/hectare during 2011-12.

In 2010-11 also, Haryana had got the award with highest production of 116.30 lakh tonnes and productivity of 4624 kg/per hectare, said a state government release.

Two farmers of the state were also given award of Rs one lakh each along with citation for highest production of wheat per hectare.
