Haryana's share in central taxes to rise to Rs 42,798 cr

Lauding the Centre's decision to implement the recommendations of the 14th Finance Commission, Haryana government today said that it share in Central taxes will increase to Rs 42,798 crore during 2015-2020 against its earlier allocated amount of Rs 15,199 crore for 2010-15.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar welcomed in toto acceptance of the 4th Finance Commission recommendations by the Government of India.

Thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said that the acceptance of recommendation of transfer of 42 percent of divisible pool to the States including taxes, grants, etc., was in the true spirit of cooperative federalism, an official statement released here said.
 

Khattar also welcomed the historic decision to give up the distinction between plan and non-plan allocations.

He further said that the decision to significantly increase the states share, will enable them utilise the enhanced resources according to the felt needs of the residents of the State.

The Haryana Chief Minister further welcomed the proposal to transfer implementation of central schemes to the States, with continued central support.
