Haryana's tax revenue grows by 10.62 pc during Apr-Nov 2013

Haryana's tax revenue grew by 10.62 per cent to Rs 14,594.81 crore during the first eight months of the current fiscal.

The state mobilised revenue to the tune of Rs 13,193.81 crore in corresponding period of last fiscal.

An official spokesman of Haryana Excise and Taxation department today said state's VAT collections were Rs 10,493.76 crore, 9.92 per cent more as compared to that of corresponding period last year.

Central sales tax collections were Rs 1,143.41 crore up to the month of November during current financial year, showing an increase of 10.92 per cent over collection made in the corresponding period last financial year.
 

Spokesman said department collected excise to the tune of Rs 2,536.22 crore upto November 2013 which was 13.83 per cent higher as compared to that of the same period of last financial year.

Department recorded an increase of 22.44 per cent in collection of entertainment tax up to November during current financial year by collecting more than Rs 43.31 crore as compared to collection of over Rs 35 crore during corresponding period of year 2012-13.

The Passenger and Goods Tax collection was over Rs 316.42 crore during same period, which was 7.60 per cent high as compared to that of the corresponding period of last fiscal.

A sum of Rs 40.70 crore was collected as luxury tax which was 24.07 per cent higher as compared to that of corresponding period of last year when Rs 32.80 crore were collected.
