Haryana should be given due share in Ravi-Beas water: Min

"Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal should forget political divisions and should give Haryana its due share of Ravi-Beas waters, considering it as its younger brother," Haryana Public Works (Building and Roads) Minister Randeep Singh Surjewala today said.

Haryana is a water deficit state and there is a demand for 36.0 million acre foot (MAF) of water, but only 14.07 MAF of water is available, he said.

He said that in compliance of orders of the Supreme Court, Haryana is giving water to Delhi out of its share of river Yamuna, but Punjab is not giving Haryana its due share of Ravi
