Haryana to bring system for govt hospitals to share patients'

The Haryana government has decided to introduce a system under which every patient will be given hospital registration for lifetime and his case history can be acessed by all hospitals.

This was informed at a meeting of Haryana Health Mission held under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda here today.

Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Navraj Sandhu said the Hospital Information and Management System would be set up in the government hospitals with help from Haryana State Health Resource Centre.

Under the system, complete data of patients visiting hospitals like name, address and telephone number, among others, would be integrated for all the hospitals.
 

Doctors of each hospital would have access to complete case history of a patient as to where and when he had got treatments.

In this way, the doctors would be able to provide better treatment to the patients, she said.
