Haryana to celebrate International Gita Jayanti Utsav in Dec

The Haryana government has decided to celebrate International level Gita Jayanti Utsav in a befitting manner in December and a comprehensive face lift will be given to the sacred Brahamsarovar and other places of religious significance in the area for it.

The decision was taken in the 80th meeting of Kurukshetra Development Board (KDB) held under the chairmanship of Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki here, an official release said here today.

The other important decisions taken in the meeting included drafting a master plan to develop and rejuvenate 'tiraths' situated near Kurukshetra, start a bus service for convenience of tourists to visit all 'tiraths' of Kurukshetra and handing over the work to upkeep them to the gram panchayats.
 

It was also informed that work to lay a new pipeline for supplying clean water from Narwana branch to Jyotisar would be completed within one year.

The Governor asked the officers to make sincere efforts for further development of all religious places in Kurukshetra.
