Haryana will soon come up with a new industrial policy to spur growth and enable the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to keep pace with the current market trends, the state government said.

The department has set its target of 4 per cent annual growth in the industrial sector, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said at a review meeting of Industries and Commerce Department here, an official spokesman said.

The Chief Minister directed officials of the department to invite suggestions from all industrial organisations while framing new industrial policy of the state.

Representatives of industrial associations, labour unions and other stakeholders should also be involved so as to get a responsible feedback that could lead to industry promotion in a big way as well as to attract investments as per aspirations, he said.

"The aspects impacting the cost factor of industry should also be considered. The draft of new industrial policy will be ready by March 2015," he said.

The Chief Minister said that there is a need to create a mechanism for addressing credit availability issues as well as for export promotion for MSME.

He also suggested organising national and international exhibitions for promotion besides marketing of such enterprises.

He prompted the department to initiate specific steps for investment promotion.

Khattar directed them to lay emphasis on promotion of agro based enterprises under National Mission for Food Processing.
