Ambitious projects would be launched to develop controlled area of two km width on both sides of Palwal-Manesar section of 136 km-long Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway falling in Haryana's Palwal district.

The projects would be of industrial, commercial and service sector, a spokesperson of Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) said today.

A meeting of High Level Committee under the Chairmanship of Managing Director HSIIDC, Sudhir Rajpal, was held in Palwal in which deliberations were held with the stakeholders on various development proposals and suggestions were sought, he said.

Regional Scheme - 2021 for National Capital Region has been prepared and notified by the National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB). Nine districts of Haryana fall in the NCR, the spokesperson said.

As KMP Expressway is passing through Palwal district, there are huge possibilities of development in industrial, commercial and service sectors in the area, he said.

Apart from this, passing of Eastern Peripheral Expressway from the district has also amplified the possibilities of development in these areas.

53-km long Palwal-Manesar section of the KMP Expressway has already been made functional on April 5.

Such meetings with the stakeholders would be held in three phases for the Palwal-Manesar section and after the detailed deliberations, the development proposals and suggestions would be incorporated, the spokesperson said.
