Haryana to give incentives to govt hospitals

Haryana government today said it had decided to provide incentives to government hospitals with a view to providing quality health facilities in the state.

The proposal entitled the 'Assured Surgery Programme' will see General Hospitals and medical teams being given an incentive of Rs 15,000 for outstanding performance, an official spokesman said today.

The performance of the hospitals would be evaluated every six months, he said, adding that doctors and specialists would receive an incentive of Rs 3,000 per month under the scheme.

There is a provision in the programme for government hospitals to avail of the services of private doctors if required.
 

Also, there is a provision to provide an advance of Rs 10,000 to each surgeon towards meeting the immediate expenses in operation theatres, he added.
