Haryana to set up special home for women

Haryana Government has decided to set up a special home for women at a cost of about Rs 6.65 crore where special skills training will be given to them for making them self reliant and employable.

An official spokesman said that a proposal to establish Swarn Jayanti Nari Aashraya Avam Kaushal Kunj has been approved by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.

He said that the Nari Aashraya would accomodate 50 inmates.

The official said that a skill training centre at Kaushal Kunj will train women and girls in various crafts and trades to make them self reliant and employable.

The spokesman said that apart from this, day care services would be provided to the children of the inmates who would attend skill training programme.
 

The provision of Anganwadi-cum-Creche would be made under Integrated Child Development Services Scheme and as per the norms of the Central Government.
