To deal swiftly with emergency complaints, the Haryana government has decided to set up a Centralised State Emergency Response Centre (CSERC) at Police Headquarters in Panchkula town.
This service will be launched by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, on the birth anniversary of RSS ideologue Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya on September 25 this year.
A decision to this effect was taken in a meeting chaired by Khattar, an official release said.

Callers will be able to request this service by dialling 100 or 112 through mobile or landline. Callers dialling 100 or 112 would instantly get an SMS giving information about the vehicle assigned to the spot and also the name of the person in-charge.
Calls from the entire state would land in the Centralised Control Room, which would be manned by about 35 to 40 person who would receive the complaints.
The work for the setting up of CSERC and District Emergency Response Centres (DERCs) has already been started by Haryana Police Housing Corporation and would be completed by July.
A training programme of 40 to 45 days would be conducted for the officers in soft-skill and Dial 100 application.
This system would later also be integrated with Facebook, Twitter and other social networking websites to increase its efficiency.
The CSERC would be directly linked with DERCs for dispatching calls to the nearest police vehicle.
On receiving the information, the DERC would dispatch the vehicle to the spot and would also monitor its movement.
He also directed them to prepare a proposal for the installation of CCTV cameras in other key locations of the State to keep a check on the movement of criminals and other anti-social elements.
As many as one lakh CCTV cameras would be installed at various locations in the State this year.
Khattar also directed the officers to expedite the process for the purchase of CCTV cameras to be installed at the entry points of Haryana in Gurugram and National Highways Number I and VIII.
