Haryana to tighten vigil along districts bordering UP

The management at police posts, police stations and check posts will be further strengthened and steps will be taken to develop an effective system of mutual exchange of information between the states, an official release said today.

Furthermore, a meeting of senior police officers of these districts has been convened on November 27 to discuss the issue and help prepare an action plan for tackling the situation, it said.

Recently, it was found that in 15 to 20 per cent of property-related cases in the five districts of Yamuna Nagar, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Panipat and Sonepat, criminals from Uttar Pradesh were involved, the release said.

 

In the recent 59 cases of crime in Sonepat, besides 50 in Panipat, 99 in Karnal and 37 in Yamuna Nagar, criminals hailing from Uttar Pradesh were involved, the release said.
