Vice-chancellor of the university, Raj Nehru said the programme would be based on the dual education model.
"Students would be enrolled at the industry campus and they would be imparted on-the-job training and classroom learning," said Nehru.
"The programme would be offered with the option to exit and enter each year at three different levels," he said.
Nehru said the programme, which is National Skill Qualification Framework-aligned, would help meet the increasing demand for skilled workers for strong and balanced development.
"This programme will transform the students into a plug and play job-ready resource for the industry and will shape their career towards future leadership roles as well," he said.
The university will also introduce Masters and PhD programmes in the same streams to provide skilling progression to the aspiring students, the V-C said.
