Around 30 lakh SMS providing information about booths, date and time of polling will be sent to voters in Haryana, Chief Electoral Officer Shrikant Walgad said today.

He said slips carrying the name of voters, booth number, serial number and date and time of polling have been prepared.

The CEO said 21 buses named 'Democracy' are operational in the state to create awareness about the significance of polling amongst the people.

He said significant measures are being taken to put a check on anti social elements which might hamper free and peaceful conduct of elections.

Walgad said apart from central forces, local police will be deployed to keep an eye on such elements.

The CEO said 5,600 video cameras would be installed to record the polling.

For the first time, web casting will be done. This facility will be available at 1,000 polling booths and people would be able to see polling live through internet, he added.
