Hathaway clears up 'unintentional shade' for Kardashians meme

Oscar-winning actress Anne Hathaway threw a whole lot of shade at the Kardashians before making amends in the best way possible.

The stunning actress, 33, accidentally caused a stir when she praised Helena Bonham Carter on Instagram.

In a post to her 3.9million followers, sot he shared a meme reading: "In a world of Kardashians... Be a Helena Bonham Carter."

She captioned it: "(Red) Queen," in reference to the pair's new film "Alice Through The Looking Glass".

That post has now been replaced with a picture of a message that reads, "Post removed for unintended shade thrown."

The new mom captioned the post, "It never occurred to me I was pitting anyone against each other. Not my style. Peace."
 

Following her clarification, fans praised the actress in the comments section, referring to her as a "class act" for amending the situation immediately.
