Haryana Agricultural
University (HAU) university teachers today went on an indefinite strike, demanding immediate implementation of Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) of the Sixth Pay Commission.
The agitators alleged they have been deprived of promotions under CAS.
No promotions of teachers and scientists have taken place in HAU after December 31, 2008, they claimed and pointed out that the scheme has already been implemented in all other universities of Haryana.
