Uttar Pradesh Urban Development Minister Mohammad Azam Khan today claimed he had always functioned in a just and unbiased manner even as he sought to reject charges against him related to a slew of issues.
While Khan is facing allegations of bias in connection with the Muzaffarnagar riots in the state, his personal staff recently complained of high-handedness by the minister and demanded that they be re-assigned.
Responding to these charges, Khan said he had never shunned responsibility and had always worked in a just and unprejudiced manner.
The minister, who was addressing a programme, asked local bodies to rise above narrow considerations of caste and community and said funds would be made available for all without any bias.
