Have held several raids in search of dog killer, says police

Ghaziabad police have conducted several raids in their search for the alleged killer of a pet dog after it was shot dead last week in the Loni area here.

Ever since main accused Pramod (27) fatally shot the dog, identified as 'Kallu', he has been on the run along with his father, Sheetal Prasad, and brothers Sompal and Vicky, all of whom have been named in the FIR registered in the case.

"We have conducted several raids in search of Pramod, his father and brothers ever since he shot Kallu. We will soon succeed in arresting them," said Loni police SHO, Gorakhnath.
 

In the incident which took place on the morning of February 13, Pramod shot his neighbour Sunil's dog with his licensed pistol after it angered the accused by constantly barking at him.

On his way to shoot his neighbour's pet, Pramod had been joined by his father Sheetal Prasad and brothers Sompal and Vicky. After killing Kallu, the accused had fled the spot.

Kallu was shot at three times by the accused.
