Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant,
who completes one year on the post on March 19, on Tuesday said governance was a challenge but he had managed to take it up successfully.
Sawant, who took over after then chief minister Manohar Parrikar died on March 17 last year, was speaking to reporters during the Zilla Parishad poll campaign in Corlim constituency.
"I took over under difficult circumstances but I have governed Goa based on the visionary ideas of Manohar Parrikar. We are committed to fulfilling his dream of a golden and clean Goa. I will complete all the projects he started in his tenure," Sawant said.
"Governance was a challenge but I have successfully taken up the challenge," he said.
He said a stellar performance by the BJP in the ZP polls, scheduled for March 22, would be a true tribute to Parrikar, and exuded confidence citing the large crowds the party was attracting during campaigning.
The CM said he continued to learn on the job, adding that the crowds "indicates positive vibes for my government".
