Filmmaker Prakash Jha, known for making issued-based films, says he will study the ongoing 'Vyapam scam' in Madhya Pradesh, a scandal which has become controversial after a slew of deaths of people related to it came to light.

The producer-director was in the city to shoot his forthcoming film "Gangajal 2", the second installment of 2003- hit "Gangajal" and said though he is not sure of making a film on the scam, he will definitely study the entire matter.

"I will definitely study the Vyapam subject," Jha told reporters when quizzed if he would make a film on the massive scam involving recruitment done by Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB), or Vyapam, its Hindi acronym.

"At this stage I won't commit on making a film on it as I normally work on a script on a subject for four to five years before making a film," he added.

The scam has become high-profile after a number of people related to the scam, died under "mysterious circumstances" with the Opposition and activists putting the number at 45.

"People should know about this issue and the country should have a debate on it (Vyapam scam)," Jha said, who has earlier shot many of his films like "Rajneeti", "Aarakshan" and "Chakravyuh" in MP.

The film stars actress Priyanka Chopra in the lead role, beside featuring Jha, who will be seen acting for this first time.

"Gangajal 2", he said is a film based on how relations between society and police have changed in last some years.

The director lauded Bhopal and its people, saying, he has so far shot seven films in the city and has never faced any problems.
