Singer Ciara Renee has dashed our hopes of a solo "Hawkgirl" TV series.

The actress quashed rumours of the project on Twitter after it was reported that The CW was developing a "Legends of Tomorrow" spin-off for her character, reported Digital Spy.

She wrote: "Srry to disappoint, but the rumours are false. No #Hawkgirl solo show! Thanx for all the love though! Even more excited to start #DCLOT now!"

The cast of DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" recently offered the first major hints on what viewers can expect from the "Arrow" and "Flash" spin-off.

Characters from both "Arrow" and "The Flash" will feature in the new series, including The Atom (Brandon Routh), Dr Martin Stein (Victor Garber), Leonard Snart (Wentworth Miller) and Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell).

The Magnificent Seven-like series also features numerous villains from the DC universe.
