"I support yesterday's attack on Hazare. The Yuvak Congress came to know that they came with a vehicle full of pamphlets and booklets which were intended to defame UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and General Secretary Rahul Gandhi," Raut told reporters here.

"We respect Hazare but that does not mean he will malign our leaders. We will not tolerate this. The Yuvak Congress members tried to stop them from distributing the pamphlets and booklets in a democratic way but some anti-social elements were involved in it which led to the incident," he said.

Raut also alleged that some RSS members were also involved with Hazare.

Hazare's aide Suresh Pathare had yesterday told a news channel that a Youth Congress worker from Satara was involved in pelting with stones one of the vehicles of the Gandhian's convoy in Nagpur.
