HC adjourns bail petition of Corporator to Dec 3

Justice K Bhakthavatsala adjourned the petition to enable Lokayukta to file objections on the matter.

Earlier Lokayukta advocate T M Gayathri submitted that gravity of the offence has to be taken into account while considering the bail petition and submitted that she would file objections.

On November 28, Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike Corporator L Govindaraj was sentenced to four years rigorous imprisonment by the lower court and a penalty of Rs 90,000 imposed on him after being convicted in a graft case.
