Madras High Court today permitted Tamil films actors Sarath Kumar and Radha Ravi to file a fresh petition challenging their expulsion from the 'Nadigar Sangam' following allegations of misappropriation of funds of the actor's body during their tenure as its top office-bearers.
Justice M M Sundresh gave the order when an earlier petition filed by the two challenging their recent suspension from the 'Nadigar Sangam' (South Indian Film Artistes Association) came up for hearing.
Counsel for the association submitted that in the General Body Meeting of the association yesterday, both Sarath Kumar and Radha Ravi, were permanently removed from the body and hence the petition (challenging their suspension) has become infructuous.
