When the Bench started perusing the applications to make selection and appointment of Trustees it felt that such selection and appointment of the members of the board from various categories, cannot be done within a span of two days.
"We are of the view that constitution of the full board cannot be done without ascertaining the facts and getting a report with regard to each of the applicants, so as to enable us to select and appoint the qualified and suitable persons to the Board in each category among the present applicants. Instead of constituting the Full Board at once, one of the trustees as Ex-officio Chairman of the Board, we appoint retired Justice A K Rajan as Trustee-cum-Chairman for the Board of Trustees who will assume office on September 20.
We request him to scrutinize all the 60 applications received from various applicants and forward the applications satisfying necessary qualification as indicated in the Scheme decree before this Court by October 6.
