The Kerala High court today asked CBI Director Ranjit Sinha to file a statement on a petition seeking to remove CBI Additional SP, Nandakumaran Nair, from investigating major cases in the backdrop of various courts passing adverse remarks against the official.

Justice P R Ramachandran Menon also directed Nair to file statement answering allegations against him.

The court issued the directions on a petition filed by T P Nandakumar, editor of a crime magazine, complaining that in view of the adverse remarks by various courts against the Additional SP, he was not competent to carry out investigation of CBI cases.
